I love random history. Tidbits of how everyday things have been created. Things that we don’t give a second thought to. Like the keyboard. I’m typing this on a keyboard. A detachable keyboard that magnetically connects to my ipad. I never really gave it much thought. But someone, some creative someone, came up with the idea. And it has proven most useful, and turns my ipad into a word processing device. So much the better. Beyond serving as the means to type these words, the keyboard also acts as a case! Protecting my ipad inside. Many uses for this one device. A creative person or persons came up with this idea over a lifetime of development of the keyboard.
What can you create?

I was just learning about the early day of the keyboard, when I went to the SPARK Museum of Electrical Invention in Bellingham, Washington! I saw a very early version of the "keyboard" which was based on actual piano keys that printed messages from incoming telegraph signals. Anyhow, an early typewriter inventor saw THAT invention, and the "modern" keyboard (in terms of it being called that for typewriters, etc.) was born! You can see a picture of it at https://www.instagram.com/p/C2YpzVZx2XO/?img_index=5 - it's the fifth pic in. Anyhow, love how they have come so far but still are changing to adapt as we do. Hugs, creative lady!
